Summer Camps 2019

Welcome to the ninth edition of La Petite Fanfare’s bilingual music camps!

This summer, La petite fanfare offers six one-week camps for children aged 5 to 12.

The number of campers is limited to 20 per camp, on a first-come first-served basis.

The camps are held at Écoledu Grand-Boisé, 135 Scott Rd, Chelsea (Highway 5, Exit 13)..

Camp dates

  • Camp A: from July 1 to July 5 (camp is open on July 1)
  • Camp B: from July 8 to July 12
  • Camp C: from July 15 to July 19
  • Camp D: from July 22 to July 26
  • Camp E: from July 29 to August 2
  • Camp F: from August 5 to August 9 (camp is open on Aug 5)

Cost

Each one-week camp : $245

This includes instrument lessons, the use of the instruments, and childcare service.

Instruments to choose from:

Guitar, piano, ukulele or violin.

Childcare service

Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The cost of the service is included in the registration fee.

Camp activities

Private class + choir + ensemble + musical mime + rhythm or dance workshops. Weather permitting, physical activities and games are held outside also.

One end-of-camp show each Friday at 3pm.

The teachers are the regular teachers of La petite fanfare. The instruments are provided by La petite fanfare.

Registration

To register, please download the registration form print and fill out one copy for each child registered.

The form(s) may then be mailed or delivered to La petite fanfare (513 Hwy 105, Chelsea, Qc, J9B1L2) with a recent picture of the child and the chosen payment. Registration fees are payable at registration time. Differed forms of payment are possible — cheque, interac email, cash. Cheques will bear the date of June 1 at the latest.

Cancellation

After June 1, 2019, 10% of the paid fee will not be refunded. A change of camp does not carry extra charge.

Job

We have a vacant position for a bilingual counsellor.

Requirements: at least 16 years of age, musical knowledge, a desire to work with children, good imagination, sound understanding of both official languages, and a great sense of humour.
