March Break at La petite fanfare is the same as in the schools in the Outaouais region. The school is therefore closed from Sunday, February 28 through Monday, March 8. Have a good rest!
Regular classes at La petite fanfare will resume on Thursday, January 7, 2010. Classes will take place on the same days and at the same times as in December. The school’s Christmas Concert will take place on Sunday, Dec. 20 at 2pm and at 5 pm. in the Chelsea United Church, on Mill Road. Students will be presenting the pieces they have been working on. Here are the students playing at the 2 pm concert: Brosius, Cahoon, Corbeil, Crowley, Desmartis, Dillon, Dubrous, Ferguson, Gagnon, Graham, Grammond, Harrison, Hawkins, Hétu, Lafaille, Lejeune, Mallett, St-Pierre. The others will play at the 5pm concert. Admission is free.
The first Teachers’ concert of the year 2009-2010 will take place on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 5pm. in the Chelsea United Church, on Mill Road. Come and enjoy a free concert given by the school’s teachers. It will be fresh and good! A real treat.
Starting next week, two classes of musical awakening will be offered each Wednesday morning at La petite fanfare, the school of music in Chelsea. One class will be for 3 year-olds and one class for 4 year-olds. Teaching will be in both official languages. The younger group will meet every Wednesday at 9:30 am. The older group will meet at 10:30 am. The classes will meet 10 times for 45’ weekly, from October through December, starting on Oct. 7 and finishing on Dec. 9. Registration cost is set at $90 for the 10 lessons. A minimum of 5 children is necessary to get each class going. For more information, please call 819 827 4007.

The students’ end of year concerts will be held on Sunday, June 21 at the Chelsea United Church on Mill Rd. Students’ participation is not mandatory. The last classes of the year will be held during the preceding week, at the regular time and day.

La petite fanfare will be closed for Easter week-end, from April 10 through April 13, that is from Good Friday through Easter Monday. The classes will resume on Tuesday, April 14 with the regular violin and trumpet classes.
